What is Excel
Excel is a spreadsheet program that allows users to enter data into cells and then perform calculations on those numbers. This can include simple math operations like addition and subtraction, but it can also be used to calculate percentages, averages, and other statistical functions.
The first step to using Excel is opening a file. There are two ways to open a file in Excel. You can either click the File tab at the top of your screen and select Open from the drop-down menu, or you can press Ctrl+O (Windows) or Command+O (Mac).
