What is Photography

Photography is the art of recording light. Light can be natural or artificial. Natural light is sunlight that has passed through our atmosphere. Artificial light is any other type of light used to illuminate objects. Photography is the act of capturing images using these lights.

The camera is the device that captures the image. There are many different types of cameras. Some are digital cameras while others use film. Film cameras have developed over time from being large bulky devices into small compact ones that fit in your pocket. Digital cameras have become smaller but they still require batteries to work.

Basic Camera Setting

1. ISO

ISO stands for International Standards Organization and is used to measure the sensitivity of your digital camera’s sensor. This number determines how sensitive your camera is to light. A higher ISO value means that your camera can take pictures in low-light situations. However, this comes at the cost of noise (graininess) in your images. If you are shooting in RAW format, then you can always adjust the amount of noise later using software.

2. Shutter Speed

Shutter speed refers to the length of time that your shutter remains open. Longer shutter speeds allow you to capture motion blur, which creates a dreamy effect. You can use this effect to create artistic photographs.

3. Aperture

Aperture controls the size of the opening in your lens. Smaller numbers mean a larger opening, while larger numbers mean a smaller opening. When you change the aperture, you are changing the depth of field. Depth of field refers to the area in front of and behind your subject where the focus appears sharp.

Photography Can be Easy to Learn

1. Lighting

Lighting is one of the most important aspects of photography. If your lighting is not right, then your photograph will look like crap. This is especially true if you are shooting indoors. You need to make sure that you have enough light coming into the room. You should also consider how much light you want to use. There are two types of lights that you can use; natural sunlight and artificial light. Artificial light is great for indoor photography but you need to know what type of bulbs to use.

2. Composition

Composition is probably the most difficult aspect of photography. You need to take time to think about where you want to place your subject in the frame. You also need to decide whether you want to include other objects in the photo. When composing a picture, you need to think about the background. Is it something that you would want to keep? What do you want to get out of this picture? These questions will help you determine what you want to put in the foreground and background.

3. Focus

Focus is the distance between the camera lens and the object that you are photographing. You need to focus properly before taking the shot. You need to pay attention to depth of field. Depth of field is the area of sharpness in front of and behind the point of focus. You need to figure out how close you want to focus. This is a Photography Course in Islamabad that I am offering
